There is history in this wonderful game of people about turning.  The dreaded vote of confidence.  The "I am happy at this club" ultimately preceeding a move.  But, wow, MON back at VP would be quite a turn around even in the world of football.....

We're the best job that O'Neill will ever get (no-one bigger than us will touch him) so I'm sure he'd come back providing he doesn't mind being seen to admit that he made a mistake.

As far as I'm concerned he's yesterday's man.  I'd sooner have Benitez in charge (an idea which i'm slowly warming to, providing he passes the necessary psychiatric tests).

Bolded bit - I agree with the first part, but the problem is he won't be the one seen as admitting having made a mistake, we will be, which is why it will (and should) never happen.

Second bit - me too.

Annoys me how they ask on the radio ex players for their opinions.

Cascarino today s 1st words were 'Villa are not a great club'. Sorry mate but you weren't a great player

I am stunned Benitez does not appear to be on our radar.

Hopefully Benitez is on the shortlist- if mclaren gets it I will be devastated as this time there are much better options around.

MON back as manager? Haha, a typical TawkSpawt attempt to get people to ring in on the back of what is most likely made up bollocks.

That said, i'd sooner have him than Hughes and McClaren.

I can't believe how he's become a sucessful pundit. He could'nt hit a barn door as a Villa player, and now has trouble stringing a sentence together as a pundit.

I have, unlike some people on here who can't seem to go a day without bringing him up.

No, my point is that i'm so underwhelmed by the possibility of either McClaren or Hughes, I'd sooner see the bloke back than have either of those two.
