Van Gaal
Moyes
Ancelotti
Martinez as an outside shout. I like the way his teams play football and the man seems a great bloke who is respected by everyone he comes into contact with.

We should get BFR and Andy Gray back and rebrand ourselves as Seventies Sitcom FC.

So long as we don't have to love our neighbours.

I have a gut feeling that both Benitez & Ancelotti are waiting to see if Redknapp goes to Chelsea to make a move for the Spuds job. I think Hughes or Moyes will be our pick.

seems hughes and all his coaching staff can walk away tomorrow by activating a clause in their contract on june 1st , and we could get them all for no compensation at all- interesting.

Moyes for me but wouldn't be unhappy with the Chelsea cast off -

Can't imagine Randy entering a compensation fight with Everton or any club for that
matter so think it likely he will choose someone who is available now

I think this "we wont sign a manager under contract" issue has been taken out of context. The point last season was that, bearing in mind how angry RL probably was with MON, he didn't was his next manager doing the same thing to their previous club a week into the season. This time round we are in a very different position.

If at all possible I'd love it to be Ancellotti.

Moyes to Spurs after Chelsea nick Harry.  Hughes to us.

Middle of the road manager = middle of the road team. He's done nothing to suggest he'd take us to the next level. Neither has Moyes for that matter. I don't know why people would be happy with either of these appointments, or am I being too picky and unrealistic?

Martinez please. I like him a lot. I originally thought Moyes but the more I have thought about it I'm not so sure.

Really, really don't want Moyes.
For me, Moyes is meh !
In my opinion he is not a step up in class to what we have had over the last few years. He hasn't exactly proved himself with honours or titles.
Infact, I'd go so far as to say that Everton are pretty much a mirror on what we already have, and have done in recent times.

I would like us to get a manger who would really excite us. Who make the footpball world think that Villa mean business. The last time that happened was BFR.

We shook football by signing Benty.
Lets do it with a new boss.

Why do you rate him so highly? His tenure at Wigan had been pretty weak.

Everton have been more-or-less a mirror on us. The difference is they have done it, compared to us, on a shoestring. I reckon Moyes could do a lot better with some money to spend and Bent up front.
