Turkey are playing tonight but not next midweek (that I can find anywhere). If Chelsea are going to appoint Hiddink they will probably start negotiatons during the next few days. If they do, it will mean no Redknapp->Chelsea, and no Ancelotti->Spurs.

Maybe that's when he'll decide he fancies hanging around in Brummagem.

should we have a thread about who we don't want to be manager - maybe there would be consensus on that at least?!

Agree to an extent. It's a decent achievement but not a spectacular one. He might be a fine manager eventually, but I'd say let him prove it before getting a job as big as Villa.

Trouble with that is that if he does prove it he may not want to come to Villa, believing he can get an even bigger job.
If we can't get Ancellotti then I think I'd prefer a 'slightly risky but the rewards could be great' Martinez rather than a 'we'll be okay but don't expect anything special' Hughes.

If only a tenth of the people who rant on about not renewing their season tickets because a, b or c might happen actually didn't renew, the world would be a better place for the lack of their constant threats not to renew.

If you're not going to renew because of something, don't renew your season ticket, but don't tell us every ten minutes that this is your plan, because it is mightily boring.

I'm of the theory that the majority of those that tell us that they are not renewing for spurious player / manager reasons don't actually have season tickets and are just posting to make themselves sound all righteously indignant.

I've gone off the idea of Coyle. Started well but fell apart at the end, and utterly bottled their biggest game of the season.
I always saw him as flavour of the month.
The clamouring on here for him to be our next manager was puzzling.

Damn you Cooper.

I was just about to post that the Brighton Inter City Crew plus my extended family have 47 season tickets between us, and we would not renew unless Rafa is appointed and tapas bars are introduced at VP, with a post match lap dancing facility to reduce stress.

That or their missus has told them they can't have one And they're looking for a get out that doesn't make them look like a wus.

If, and it is a big IF you can believe Sky

Lerner isn't even coming to England until next week to sort out the list. Probably why Ancelotti has gone back to italy.

So nowt will happen until middle of next week at earliest.

However, for all Sky know, he could be at Bodymoor now !
