How much are that little lot worth in wages?

£200k per week!

NRC is the only one I would have kept too... what a waste of money.

as michael bradley's name has not mentioned in this group of ten, does that mean we will take up the option on purchasing player
Well he can't be released as he isnt ours, only seen a few minutes of him, if we sign him he will need a good pre-season to get up to speed of the EPL though. So not sure on him.

John E - I think you're right that this is a good sign that the deadwood is being pruned. It will test our nerves and will challenge GMac's assertion that we've got some incoming players lined up and ready to join us.
I suspect they will not be dealing with those in-contract players who probably should be offloaded until the management role has been formally clarified.

I always liked Reo-Coker, so I think it's a shame he's gone. He'll make a very good free signing for someone - I think he'd fit in well at Everton, actually. Still, I suppose he's not exactly irreplaceable.

The rest? I'm really not bothered. I wonder how much in wages that will free up?

Shame NRC isn't staying, but never mind.  At least Carew, Salifou and Ozzy are off the payroll at last.

How long has Beye got left on his contract? Hopefully we can get shot of him, can't see there being a long line waiting to sign him though.

Zippo's Circus are recruiting, they're our only hope.

Like others, gutted about NRC and wish him well when he rolls up at Newcastle/Wigan/clubs of that ilk.

On his best day he'd never be worth more than 35k though.

I'm guessing NRC wanted daft wages to re-sign which is why he is off - Houllier must have been keen on keeping him at the club as he has played most matches towards the end of the season and has done a decent job when we desperately needed it.

No big surprises with the others released - especially Salifou and Osbourne - long overdue.

Watched Forrester for the youth team against Chelsea a couple of years back and he looked a great prospect. Dissapointed he hasn't made it - will definitely do a job for someone.

I still reckon we'll sign Bradley if Houllier stays on as manager, and I still reckon he'll be a useful player for us.

Not sure why we'd sign Bradley. Maybe if he'd of played more I'd expect it. He's a good player, mind. So I wouldn't be against it.
