My only memory of Salifou was as a late sustitute against Reading i think. A Reading player just glided past him to score. Thankfully we were 3-0 up at the time.

Ozzy showed some flashes 3 seasons back as a stop gap to make up our woeful squad numbers but it just never materialized for him.

The Togolese Zidane can go and play at the Togolese Real Madrid.

Osbourne's cut to camera on the big screen from a few seasons back was worth his wages alone. Comedy gold.

Salifou... known as 'The Togolese Zidane' by some
When players are given such labels (c.f. De La Cruz = the Equadoriian Beckham, according to GRaham Taylor) you just know that they're going to underwhelm you, don't you!
It's like a lead weight around the player's neck - Salifou never stood a chance and even if he was earning a couple of grand a week from Villa, that's still far too much for a no-hoping journeyman.

Wasn't Osbourne the next Vieira at some stage. Coupled with the Togaliese Zidane they should have been some combination.....and back to reality.

Salifou was legendary at Sparta Prague away - he did look at world beater that day.  Osbourne must have had an ASBO that prevented him leaving B6.

Salifou was quality at Slavia Prague. Best player on the pitch by a mile.  Would have liked him to have got a run out when we were down to the bones
This season.
It would kill me to find out how much in wages Osbourne has accumulated.

Salifou looked o.k in europe but would've been out of his depth in the prem due o the pace.

Still struggling to work out given we signed him in August 2007 on a one year deal how the hell he stayed until now!

Same with Osbourne who our former manager ridiculously awared a 4 year contract to in november 2007 when he was struggling to make the bench for prem games.
