I liked Blackpool, I like the way they attacked, I liked the fact they didn't go buck mad with wages and I found Holloway's comment to be a wake up call to everyone at Villa.

The only part that pissed me off was his arse licking of Liverpool in the incident.

My thoughts too. Fair play to Blackpool for giving it such a good go, whoever they played against. Their fans were given value for money week in week out by a group of players earning far less than the rest of the greedy Prem Lge lot.
They deserve all the credit they've been given for their entertaining and brave approach this season, and on that basis so does their manager, however irritating his press conferences may be to some.

Same here.

I was never enamoured by his snippets of home-spun wisdom, even back when he was managing QPR, but I would much rather shell out my hard-earned  to watch us play one of his his teams rather than, to give one tedious example, fucking Stoke. And I would same the same for Wet Spam: usually a decent game.

Stanley Matthews didn't even score in the game, did he?

No Mathews didn't score, but he did provide the crosses for at least two of the goals. (Mortenson - hat trick, Bill Perry - 1)

It was the first football match I ever watched on the box and for me and many others it was an exciting, memorable and emotional game. It's all been pretty much downhill since. (For me and them)

I'm a bit sad to see them go down. I think they were good for the Premier League.

Perfect day, After the disrespect from Holloway towards us I have wanted nothing but the worst for the whole of their club.

In fact if I could choose 3 to go down I wouldn't have changed a thing, The porn baron's and the rentagob fat bird at WH along with Holloway is brilliant but add the noses in as well and it's the perfect "3-some".

I wanted Blackpool to stay up right up until the moment the gobby little prick started giving it large about our club.

From that moment on, I just wanted Blackpool down.

Good riddance.

Sums my thoughts up.

Horrible little man - a Barry Fry wannabe, how very sad.

They were a credit in the way they played , they had a real go and didn't play boring dull spoiling football like some others in the league- there were several games that were great to watch .

Their defending was suicidal. Holloways' refusal to address it out of some misguided corinthian spirit was negligant, and it's cost them dearly.

Still, they'll probably have to sell a few players now, so little Olly will do okay out of it.

Bye bye pug nose. Enjoy sliding back down the leagues won't you ? No problem with Blackpool, but Billy Big Bollocks deserves all he got for his disrespectful comments about us.

I think Holloway's comment would have been appropriate as a wake up call if Villa's approach for Charlie Adam had been the approach of a "Billy Big Bollocks" club who expected Adam to want to come to us simply because of who we were.  But from everything I've heard that was not the approach we took.  Therefore his comments were totally uncalled for.

My, lots of people getting all "regionalist" on Ian Holloway.

I'm sad they've gone down - fair play to em for giving it a good go!

I was as annoyed as any Villa fan when he started spouting at us but I'd rather listen to his comments than most of the other dull rubbish from all the other managers (Dalglish inparticular)

I'm not sad they've gone, besides we get Norwich to patronise next season.
