I really like it, and the sponsor dose'nt look cheap and tacky like they have in the past. A well done to the club.

Agree x 2.

Away kit is the best for ages .... although if I buy one next season, it'll be 'vintage' !!

All shirts purchased from Villa stores at Villa Park and New Street in Birmingham, or online at Villa Direct, will include the logo of the club's new main sponsor Genting.

Shirts from external outlets such as JJB Sports and Sports Direct may not bear the Genting logo due to the sponsorship deal being finalised later than anticipated.
JJB or Sports Direct it is then! :)

So you could have a shirt with Genting on the front and Bent on the back then?

I love the new one, and actually like the sponsor on the front, it looks quite a classy logo. It is a clever strategy to go for a Malaysian/ Asian partnership. I know it is not a reason to sign a player, but I am staggered more clubs are not trying to sign emerging talent from Asia as the commercial rights would make the club a mint.

Not really to do with Genting or Malaysia as such, but I still find it remarkable that in a country as culturally diverse as Britain, hardly any clubs seem to have bought through any youth talent of Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi heritage.

I don't think it's for the lack of trying on the clubs part. I'm sure it would make a lot of sense to develop someone from that background. My parents are Indian and while I know a lot has changed culturally since I lived in the UK, there is still a stigma with regard to having your son playing football in those households. Other sports are more acceptable, but above all else is education and business, so it's never strongly encouraged. I'm quite sure that if an Indian or Pakistani kid stood out in a trial or as part of the youth system they'd make it like a kid from any other ethnic group. I just don't think the academies or youth systems are awash with kids from those communities so the chance of one coming through is very low. Sad really.

you should be more concerned that your mind went there. I'm sure the great majority of people won't relate it to that, especially with the word Casinos underneath.

So long as they pay us lots of money and their logo isn't a gigantic spunking cock,

Could have been these:

Do you think the first time they took a step back and looked at their new sign someone just said... "oh". Do you think anyone will notice... nah it will be fine. Great spot.

Pissed myself Dave!

When you see the size of the Genting operation and how huge they are in Asia, it makes you realise that potentially this is a great deal for them and us.
With the coverage the PL gets on TV out there, Genting appearing on a PL team shirt is a great coup for them.
I hope we are getting a tidy sum for this, because to me, it looks a brill partnership.

I quite like it...

I don't see the problem with having a casino group as a sponsor??

When has it been 'unethical' to gamble??

Its worth £8 million per season apparently.

A little bird tells me it could be incentivised, that is to say, if we do wel, maybe win a cup or something, we get more.
But the little bird is not 100% on that.

It is a good deal though. Lets hope it goes towards some way to rebuilding the squad.
Or making the public address system in the Holte end sound less like an 8 bit computer game.
