Really good move by the board IMO. Massive global brand and exposure into the Asian market hopefully, whilst having local links too. If the planned casino goes ahead there will be 1000's of new jobs being created, very good to have our name associated with that.

It's all about the money and thats the way it should be.

I don't really understand why people get so agitated about sponsors. So long as they pay us lots of money and their logo isn't a gigantic spunking cock, or a radish or something embarassing, who really cares?

To be fair Paulie I'd take a big spunking cock on my shirt for £40m over 3-4 years. For radishes I don't get out of bed for less than £60m!!

Any news on the numbers yet, we've been a very poor relation when it comes to deals of late.  Would be interesting to see if our CEO can get this moving in the right direction - surely must be a lot more than Forex or whatever they were called?

good. We get a deal with a massive company and we'll still be very generous on the charity front with Acorns. Wins all round.

Not just lately, weren't we always a low earner from sponsorship? As far as I can remember, that's why Acorns came about, no offers came in matching what he felt it was worth, so gave it to Acorns as opposed to giving it out on the cheap. Hopefully this has now changed.

After all the 32Red complaints , now this ?

Listening to the fans, as shown last week is a thing of the past.

I disagree Tro, the club do listen to us fans. They just choose to ignore us.

Do we have to put the sponsors to the vote now then?

Do you think the first time they took a step back and looked at their new sign someone just said... "oh". Do you think anyone will notice... nah it will be fine. Great spot.

Were there complaints? Why?

We want him to spend money, but we don't want him to make us more money? Also, I'm happy that Randy doesn't listen to the fans in regards to hiring and firing. Most of us know absolutely nothing.

Short memories .

I am not passing comment on approval / disapproval, but when Randy took over , the Generals thread was full of anti 32Red complaints , from people who didn't want their kids in strips with Gambling as a logo on.

I initially read it as a new verb, to Gent.

Maybe street slang that hookers will use in the year 2059.

As 32Red were nothing to do with the current board they can hardly be criticised for the new sponsors.
