One in the eye for all that nonsense we've had spouted on here for four years about how Randy didn't want to deal with gambling companies.

Tell me about it.  From the top charitable PR of the Acorns deal to an on-line casino; foreign exchange 'gambling' company to physical casino company!  What next - arms dealers?  I suppose it's the sad reality of business, but Cadbury's or Jaguar/Land Rover they aint!

Nah.

How did Randy's family make their fortune? From credit cards, and at a company which is particularly predatory in  pushing credit on people (if you have an MBNA card, you'll be used to them sending you books of cheques in the post).

If you have a problem with the ethics of gambling, then you're going to have to have a problem with the chairman full stop, I'm afraid.

Most corporations are shits. It's just that some corporations are betting at hiding their shittiness than others.

Really good move by the board IMO. Massive global brand and exposure into the Asian market hopefully, whilst having local links too. If the planned casino goes ahead there will be 1000's of new jobs being created, very good to have our name associated with that.

Aesthetically, it's kind of busy looking...reminds me of the two elephants guzzling booze through their trunks on Everton's shirts. And at least it's an all-white font. Hopefully they're throwing cash at us.

So after a short-lived deal with a company who makes money on currency fluctuations and now a gambling giant, our Acorns-emblazoned tops seem like a long time ago. The sad reality is we need to make as much money as we can if we're to have any hope of competing.

It's all about the money and thats the way it should be.

I don't really understand why people get so agitated about sponsors. So long as they pay us lots of money and their logo isn't a gigantic spunking cock, or a radish or something embarassing, who really cares?
