All Local Teams Out Of Relegation Zone
« on: May 08, 2011, 04:20:35 PM »
With 36 games played, not one of our four "Midland" teams is in the bottom three places of the Premiership. Those teams are: Blackpool, Wigan Athletic, and West Ham United.

The last time this season that this was so was on the 26th September 2010, when with six games played the bottom three teams were Wigan Athletic, West Ham United and Everton.

Will this happy state of affairs still be true at the end of the season?

Yes... I think Wolves are the one of the three battling to stay up (West Ham are pretty much down IMO) who will make it following today's results.

I think the bottom three will remain the same. After Wolves winning today, a draw yesterday wasn't enough for West Ham. Can see them drawing at Wigan next week which will effectively relegate both.

I would be happy for the bottom three to remain the same come the end of season as it does now.

So let me get this right. As the final whistle goes against Liverpool and results eleswhere are flashed on the screen, if Birmingham have lost at Spurs and been relegated we are going to be standing there quietely saying to each other "oh what a shame, we've lost one of the other midland team from the premier".

I wouldn't. Would much prefer to see the Dingles and Small Heath Alliance there.

Shouldn't that be salsaing (is that a word?) as that is H&V's current dance.

I would like to see SHA back in it and achieve a new record of being the only team to have won the League Cup and relegation in the same season. ( I am guessing this has never happened before)

Bugger! Still relegation for them will be sweet.
