I am not renewing my season ticket for next season due to three reasons.

1. My very strong passion for Salsa dancing which mean I love to do Friday and Saturday night out and plus very late night out and early getting up for work (ie 3.5 hours sleep on Friday night (Saturday morning) ) Make it very difficult for me to cope as I was struggling to stay awake yesterday afternoon. I could have sleep in Villa Park, I was that tired. Some Saturdays I have no energy for Saturday night out after football.

2. My job as postman make it hard for me to enjoy my game on Saturday and from August starting time will change from 6-12 to 7-3 and I can never been sure if I will finish for 2.

3. Not enough quality games from Aston Villa this season to make the game enjoyable. Some midweek crap game I was left wishing I was at X for Salsa Dancing instead. (I do most Wednesday)

I went to every home game but 2 Small Heath and Blackburn in League due to holidays.

I will stick to Sunday games for next season and go to Saturdays match if I am not working on that week (I work 5 X 6 days a week work and get a week off every 6 weeks)

I will renew my season ticket if I get a better paid job and working 5 days a week, which is unlikely and I am not looking for one and big changes happens. I want to see how the big changes at work affect me first as I will get my own walk (according to the boss at work, assuming he is correct)

For now Salsa Dancing take over priority to football. I can't believe it :)

I think I will enjoy football more if I don't have to watch it every other week and see players like Ashley Young make my blood boil at time.

Why don't you contact Nicola Keye to see if she can find a suite for you to have your Salsa Classes in after the game.  I'm sure Habib Beye and Robert Pires could assist with the instructing?

Your spot on Toronto but it needs to be sorted before the end of June really as pre-season starts then and the transfer window opens on 01/07/11

what is the point of this thread at the end of a very bad season when emotions are running high against everything Villa related? Surely the time to say "fuck it" is if nothing has changed in the next 12 weeks. I don't think next season will be anything like this, because I cannot believe for a second that Randy/Faulkner can't see what we all see. In fact the General alluded to as much. If I were in their position I'd be even more anxious than the fans for the season to end so it can be learned from and buried, and start postively planning for the next.

Spot on. Some people (real people, not just on the internet) are talking as if next season is nailed on to be a repeat of this one. Very little chance of that, IMO.

Still, I doubt I'll be renewing, but only because I haven't got a pot to piss in at the moment. Well, I have, but not much else.

sorry to hear that. Here's hoping that your personal situation improves along with the fortunes of our football club.

Thanks TV. I'm afraid it's a question of survival until the pregnant Mrs P is able to work again. Until then it's all on me.

by mid July, I meant that the key managerial components are already in place, and that many of the players that need to be shifted out, are gone and not still going. So it falls very much within the timelines you are suggesting. June will be very, very critical if the balance of the summer is to go as planned.

good luck with the soon to be Villa fan Percy. See if Mrs P will allow you to pipe in commentary to the little one of great games in Villa history. It will good if at least one us has no recollection of the past season!!

It always plays on my mind when I consider not renewing: "what if we have a great season and get to two finals?".

If I didn't renew, I'd be afraid of missing out. Now, the likelihood of that happenings is pretty low...ok, non-existent. But what if???

As a friend friend of mine once said at this time of year:  'I'll renew because I'm too stupid not to'

I can't believe this thread has strayed so far off topic, you lot are a disgrace.

It's not the quality of the football, it is salsa dancing and the Royal Mail which are the key, key issues here.

Personally I can sympathise. My own passion for abducting and murdering female health workers often makes it very hard to attend games. Often I am up half the night on Fridays, burning clothing and digging shallow graves.

I wondered where you'd been. Took a bit longer this weekend, then?

These new Royal Mail vans are too small. you either have to leave the feet hanging out, or try to fold them in half.

I'm not renewing because I need to spend more time organising my collection of belly-button fluff.

But if you renew we can all hand you ours. You'll have a huge collection in no time at all!

Or is it only your own you want?
