I find it quite amusing that people regard hitting the woodwork as in some way having been robbed; the point being that the goal-attempt clearly wasn't quite accurate enough. A miss is a miss.

Not that I'm suggesting you're doing this, UKR.

We would only be slightly better off than we are now albeit safe we will have to aim lower or to the left more next season.

Time for me to trot out the line I say at least once a season.

Interview to BFR - "Ron, you must admit, you had the luck tonight when  they hit the woodwork when it was 0-0"

BFR to interviewier "Yeah, funnily enough we had three chances to hit the woodwork, we just decided to stick them in the net instead"
