I'd shake it up a bit.

                             Friedel

Walker        Collins          Dunne       Young

                   Reo Coker     Delph

Downing                                           Young

                     Bent        Gabby

Marshall, Clark, Cuellar, Makoun, Gardner, Albrighton, Heskey,

Plenty of options with Bannan & Delfouneso back.

Hopefully no Pires.

Howcome they've came back & not Hogg?

Hogg has played every game when available for Portsmouth since going there.

In the perverse way Villa's backroom staff work, I can see Pires starting.....

2-1 win.

Bent and a Young penalty.

Cleverley for them.

Thought he looked quite tidy against Norwich. He doesn't hide from taking responsibility and played the anchor role in midfield rather well...

Win!

I'll go 2-0 with Bent early doors and Emile coming off the bench to seal the three points and guarantee our Premier League status for another season...

I wonder if we'll stick with 442? Petrov and NRC are both playing well, but 442 with them playing leaves us rather predictable.

On balance, I think I would, with heskey in for gabby who I don't think looks an effective partner for bent. If  we wanted to look more fluid i think I'd rather play downing in a middle 3 with ash and albrighton wide than revert to ash behind the striker.

I'd like to see

Friedel
Walker Cuellar Clark L Young
Albrighton Makoun Delph Downing
Agbonlahor Bent

Marshall, Bannan, Delfouneso, Herd, Weimann, Gardner, Johnson

In other words the guys I want (expect) to be here next season and not the players who wont be, Pires, NRC, Petrov, Heskey, A Young, Dunne, Collins, Bradley etc.

This and while Wigan are here tap up N'Zogbia as replacement for Young!
