I've changed my mind. It's more like a shit Rugby League shirt and that's saying something.

Home shirt launch is next Tues according to OS http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~2390716,00.html

Speaking as someone who works for a Charity, I'd say St Basils is a good cause to be getting money from the event alongside Acorns.

The away one looks OK, but Nike have become boring and complacent.

Adidas in future please AVFC.

Wonder if they've changed the home shirt or we'll get the design that leaked before?

I think it's that one a few threads above - with the Genting thingy changed.

Wonder what socks we're having, blue I would think .... or claret and blue checks - we are very checkered now....

I popped into the club shop in the city centre today and they had the away one on show. It looks smart but it feels really cheap and the fabric is really thin with little holes in. A bit like the material the old school America football tops were made of.

Ahhh, remember all the questions to the General about the last kit and would it be around for two seasons considering the delay in getting it.

There was a considerable lack of openess from them on it, even though we all knew that it would probably be the shortest kit launch we have had.

And then they had the amazing statement on the club site along the lines of "due to delays in getting the sponsor sorted you may find shirts in the shops without the sponson on! so please buy from Villa shops to ensure you get the sponsors name on it, or you can call into the shop and we will put it on for free!"

If I got one without the sponsor I would be very very happy!

So last season they had a manufacturer of football shirts who couldnt make a football shirt and now this season they couldnt get the sponsor sorted before the kit went into production!

Coupled with the managerial merry go round, I wouldnt be suprised if the new home kit is just a bag of skin paint that you apply yourself!

Mat Kendrick tweeted when he saw it first that he'd seen better quality fakes.

I think it's outrageous the shoddy workmanship that 6 year old indonesian children are turning out these days. Somebody should increase their beatings and reduce their rat milk rations.

The only thing that would make me consider buying a replica shirt these days would be being able to buy one without a sponsor on it.

Agree on this.
And why are they so costly anyway?

As Flight of the conchords sang

They're turning kids into slaves just to make cheaper sneakers
But what's the real cost, 'cause the sneakers don't seem that much cheaper
Why are we still paying so much for sneakers when you got little slave kids making them
What are your overheads?

If you want Adidas, be prepared for even more boring kits that look like everyone else's (unless of course you're a French team)

Expect more delays next year as our deal with Nike expires this season.

I wonder who will make next season's kits.
