Not for me thanks, and I hate white socks.  I know it goes against the grain with most but I think we should always have claret socks.

Claret body with blue sleeves, white shorts, blue socks.  It's not difficult !  Why do we keep getting this simple combination wrong ?

Well if this IS real I am dissapointed that we didn't reflect the '81 kit in some way.

IMHO this is pretty boring, and I normally prefer classic kits. I don't get the checkerboard either even if it is part of establishing a corporate look. It is messy on the shirt.

Oh well, I am just a grumpy old sod I guess.

I don't understand why the OS hasn't announced it. Or denied it.

From SCG11:

Quote
As of yet there is no sponsor for the club shirts and therefore one option the club is considering is that the new strip maybe made available without the sponsors name. However if people do purchase one, then you will be able to return the shirt to have the sponsors name on at a later date. The kit is due out July for away and August for home. There will be no discount for the strip even though last years only came out 5 months ago.

When did SCG11 take place?

I can't imagine too many people returning their shirt to have the sponsors logo applied.

I don't think the checkerboard will be that noticable on the new kit.

West Ham had it a couple of years ago and I liked it.

I've not bought a new home shirt since 08/09.
I think I'll be getting this one, unless the sponsor is something totally shit.

Same for me

That new kit is probably a rework of the Auxerre kit from from 1998 knowing the lazy bastards at Nike..

TBH the shirt just about sums up the Club for me at the moment.

What's the fashion perspective on checks ?
Do they make you look fat(ter) or thinner ?
This will determine my decison whether to buy or not.

Blue socks (or black if it's really retro) and it would be pretty good.
