0% Villa - So who is in Europe next season?
« on: April 20, 2011, 07:21:30 PM »
I stole this link from Shellac in the match thread.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story/_/id/909100/premier-league-clubs-in-limbo-over-european-qualification?cc=5739

It seems as though everyone is doing what they can to make sure Liverpool stay in Europe. I don't think for a second that the FA cup losers should still qualify though.

I think the place should be awarded alphabetically to a premier league team.  As Arsenal will be in the champions league...

Quote from article

"With a new format you need a new identity," UEFA spokesman William Gaillard said at the time of the launch back in 2008. "The tournament is supposed to be for winners, not runners-up."

Pity they don't have that attitude to the Champions League!

And that's how he defends the 6th place team in the league qualifying over the FA Cup runners up?!?!

The guys at UEFA and nearly as mental as those at FIFA!

I'd give my left arm for us to win it.

It is an absolute awful competition up until the knock out stages.

It's still great to be in though, European away days are hard to come by at the moment.

Id like Villa to win the Uefa cup.
