With the news that GMac will be in charge I'm gonna change my prediction from a win to a dodgy draw.  Cannot stand the man.  Thank fuck we're already safe.

What the hell has McAllister done to deserve such scorn?

I don't get it either. At Liverpool, Houllier had Phil Thompson as his hammer to get rid of certain players, and straighten a few things out. That worked out quite well in the end as I recall. With us, he couldn't get Thompson, so he has McAllister to do the same thing. It's been well documented that certain players "comfortable" in their existence at the club don't like McAllister asking them, God forbid to do some work. Whereas others, especially the kids have thrived under the new management style. I'll take the kids and our future over, fat overpaid lazy "pros" any day.

Our away form in the league is shocking so I'd imagine home win is the most likely outcome.

Could be a point in it for us if we carry the confidence over from last weekend.

Head says home win, heart says score draw.

All the best for the rest of the season.

All the best to Houllier too.

cheers WD. You must be on cloud 9 after the weekend. I think given today's events, and the fact that we still have to 100% guarantee our safety, we'll win this one. I don't think your lot will care much, and I'm sure it will be a good day out for your fans still buzzing over the win against Bolton.

I don't quite understand it either. He could be in charge for the rest of the season - good luck to him. Time for him and Sid to step up to the plate.

We still need 2 or 3 more points to guarantee survival and you can guarantee Pulis will be sending them out to give it everything. Whether the players will have one eye on the final or not is another matter.

Young and Bent (and from the brief bits I've seen of him - Albrighton) are the type of players that can hurt us, if we can keep them relatively quiet we could do ok.

We're definitely on Cloud 9 from the Semi result but most of us haven't let it get us carried away into thinking we're going to all of a sudden start getting results on the road.

Our away performances and results haven't been there all season although our last few outings have given me a bit of encouragement.

After you lot on Saturday we've got Wolves at home Tuesday night, thats the game I've targetted for us to reach our survival target, if we get anything on Saturday it will be a bonus.

We don't know for certain that GMac is or maybe was a problem.

He might surprise us all.

It's been reported widely that GM is the issue
Still think we'll see of them non footballing thugs off on Saturday though by 3 or 4 clear goals
