Fair enough. Is it because of her personality? Do you not think 'Fuck Me Pumps' is sheer genius? I do, but maybe it's because I know exactly who it is written about.

Nope just does not float my boat. Give me Billy Bragg, Dylan, Tunng, Northern Soul, Tindersticks, Kate Bush, Angelics, Dixie Chicks, St Etienne, Cash, Portishead, Clash... who is the song about?

Some good stuff there, quite discerning I'd say. I love Northern, Bragg, The Clash and sixties Dylan, and recognise that, while not my thing, the others are good at what they do. Have you heard the Portishead remix of 'Wild Wood' by Weller? Very good. 'Fuck Me Pumps' sums up perfectly an acquaintance of mine, perhaps I should have said 'exactly the type of person it's about'. It's the woman who quite recently had a very public fall-out with Michael Ricketts. Google it, and give 'pumps' another listen on youtube.

The Portishead / Weller mash up is on my Wedding playlist for July (let the party begin!).

Speaking of good versions / mixes Nina Perrsons version of Losing My Religion is quite nice. As not to keep this thread off topic I will post it in Off Topic Youtube videos...

I saw Dylan here in Shanghai a couple of weeks ago and it was a massive disappointment.

Like you I love his sixties stuff but he only played a couple of his well known big hitters, did not engage with the audience until maybe 75 minutes into the evening and at times sounded like Cartman. He is in good nick for his age but as a live act he was not a patch on that other veteran, Leonard Cohen. I was really looking forward to this gig too, as you rarely get anybody of note out here.
To be fair to the big man may well have had to submit a playlist in advance excluding anything obviously rebellious, but it was still a real disappointment.

Some very good stuff on your music selection there, gents.

I saw a few West Ham fans with Claret and Blue Adidas gazelle on sat,did look nice, though i don't wanna get any fashion tips from Cockneys,
I have a pair of them too, gotta keep the claret and blue going !

Same here. They are the classiest trainers ever...bar none.

i've got a pair too. Adidas Gazelle are class, claret and blue Gazelle pure class. Most comfortable trainers ever, and one of the few pairs of trainers IMO that look good with shorts or jeans.
I've been looking for a white Fred Perry with the claret and blue piping, i saw one a few years ago in London and dithered over buying it, now i can't find one anywhere, anyone any ideas?

You'll always get the odd one turn up on ebay

If you want the classiest claret and blue fred perry:
