Must admit I find Matalan or George to be good for a whole range of colourful polo shirts. Tend to get about 30 of them for the price of one Fred Perry as well .... bargain!

I've had a few Lacoste ones, and they've lasted me years, and kept their shape, wish i could say the same.

Quite like Lyle and Scott, mainly due to the fact that i like the Two Ronnies!

As a kid I used to hate the Ronnie Corbett monologue. Only when I "matured" did I realise the true quality there. I always think of him when I see Lyle and Scott jumpers.

And like you I have one Lacoste which is till in good nick after 10 years.

I'd watch the Two Ronnies over Morecombe and Wise any day of the week, there's probably already a thread on this topic!

Two Ronnies were class - apart from the awful song and dance routines. Were you left or right side of the Holte? Tiswas or Swap Shop? I think Two Ronnies v Morecombe & Wise could be another way to segment Villa fans of a certain vintage...

To fit the Celtic/Rangers chant though, it would have to be "BARKER!"/"CORBETT!" or "MORCAMBE"!/"WISE!"

Morecambe/Wise, Morecombe/Wise give us a song.....

Come to this thread late. I own a few Fred Perry garments but can understand why Coopers Thingy doesn't like them, I suspect they don't go too well with his Bono mullet and cowboy boots.

I shouldn't snigger, but this made me laugh Chris. Great post.

Moncler do a few C&B polo shirts but if you think Fred Perry's are overpriced you'll have a funny turn at these.

Robe Di Kappa is another option, less costly and more stylish than Perry, and they do some fitting colours

What do you like Atomic? I'd love to hear something so good that it makes the stunningly brilliant, clever, intense and beautiful 'Back to Black' album sound 'rubbish'.

And yes, it is a nice top. Nicely filled too.

He's on about Stetson hats in the Stoke pre-match thread, Ralph Lauren ties in another. He's H&V's Trinny and Susannah

I like lots of things, but not Amy. Its a matter of taste and mine is questionable!

Fair enough. Is it because of her personality? Do you not think 'Fuck Me Pumps' is sheer genius? I do, but maybe it's because I know exactly who it is written about.

Nope just does not float my boat. Give me Billy Bragg, Dylan, Tunng, Northern Soul, Tindersticks, Kate Bush, Angelics, Dixie Chicks, St Etienne, Cash, Portishead, Clash... who is the song about?
