Would be great if we finished strong and got 8th or better. Top half and it doesn't play so much like we we went to shit without MON, which he would obviously love.

its a sweet win cos when we played their last season they got a last minute winner when they didnt deserve it. the longer it went on today i thought we might be made to pay for not taking our chances but thankfully gabby did the business.

What a relief. Had a feeling Gabby would do the job when he came on. And now Bent is our top scorer and it only took him 3 and a half monthhs. Take a bow son!!  ;D

We should have won that by two or three clear goals, but i'm not complaining it's just great to see us get the last minute winner!

I'm overjoyed at a convincing win adding to another game unbeaten and pleased to enjoy the merriment, lack of doomsayers and backstabbers, but there's still 5 games left and plenty of grief before we get those 3 points needed. Europe, I wish, but honestly I don't see it.

You can't complain what whatever pov you may have. The win takes us into  a new comfort zone but we must see it as the beginning of a new era with the intention of building on it next season. Not only can we not afford to drop any points now we cannot afford to lose any major players either during the summer break.

Thoroughly deserved victory, but West Ham were dire. However, the team were up for it, even GH looked up for it and seemed as if he cared whether we won or not. It's naive to believe that everything is rosy, but it seems that the team and the staff have managed to agree to put differences aside and fight together for the greater good -- at least until the end of the season.

Ah, I have been avoiding any pre match talk as a sort of good luck charm tryout. Worked the last few games since wolves so did not notice.

On the basis that 7th this year -for the first time in years- isn't enough to get Europe, put us down for that.

If Man City finish 5th and win the cup, that makes 7th a European place does it not?  Terrible thing though to be hoping for Spurs to finish 4th and Man City to win silverware.

No as the runners up in the FA cup get the other European place. Bolton or Stoke would need to finish 5th in for another place to open up.

No, the FA Cup must have a European place so that will go to whichever of Bolton or Stoke get to the final.

Let the rags have their euro "glory" next season, we can watch them crash and burn, while we re-establish ourselves amongst the elite!
