We all know that they'd get Rapid Vienna and hammer them over 2 legs.

Goddamn Noses.

They should do it otherwise their fans will wreck the host city.

As a club who suffered the ignominy of playing a European cup tie behind closed doors because of our own scum perhaps we should be a bit less quick to pass judgement.

I hope they're allowed in. With a bit of luck they'll get some obscure team in eastern europe that takes about 5 days to get there and back from and we can try moving Birmingham somewhere else while they're away or at least change all the roadsigns so they can't find their way back. It do-able i reckon, given a decent timescale

That's a quality idea. Count me in.

I'm sure its been discussed elsewhere but what happens if they get relegated? Can a Championship team play in Europe?

Yes, Millwall did it 5 or so years ago when United beat them in the Cup final.

I think Ipswich Town may have done so to

Middlesborough aswell I think.  They were in the FA Cup final in the late 90s the season they got relegated.

I hope they're let in, they earned it fair and square, plus it really is an awful competition up until the knock out stages (which they won't get to)

All rivalry aside, it would be an absolute disgrace if they aren't allowed in on a technicality while, say, Manchester City are.

If Stoke or Bolton win FA Cup 5th won't even get it will they ?

Yes.

If Man Utd win the FA cup, then 6th will get a spot as well (ditto if Man City win the cup and finish in the top 4)

does not the losing finalist get it (either Bolton/Stoke) ??

Yes you're right.

Nah, that's the Carling Cup mate.

Whoever wins the FA Cup semi-final between Stoke and Bolton qualifies for next year's Europa League.
