Ian Taylor & Shaun Teale are joining Paul on the Q and A panel whilst John Aldridge will remember old times with Ireland during his after dinner speach.

Tables are £550, and we are raising money for Meningitis UK in memory of Andrew Hession, aged 20 and Villa fan who recently passed away due to the disease.

Good luck with the night, and try not to keep John Aldridge waiting too long on the sidelines.

Hellooo

Paul has recorded a piece for WM today which will be aired on tomorrow's drive time at 5.50pm with Paul Franks.

There will also be some nice competitions in Mat Kendrick's Birmingham Mail before Saturday, and a few other chances to win tickets in other local rags.

Tickets and tables still available, but we expect that this weeks media push should make for a sell out by the end of next week ish so let me know if you want anything reserving.

Cheers again

From someone who went they said it was a great night.

McGrath was very quiet, John Aldridge very funny reminiscing about his time with the Irish team.  Jack Charlton had watched him play for Oxford against us at Villa Park and told him what a good game he had and would he play for them on the Wednesday.  Aldridge agreed and explained to Charlton that the midfielder Ray Houghton (also playing for Oxford at the time) was eligible to play too.

Charlton said, "See you on Wednesday....and you can bring your mate along too".

That's how sophisticated it all was in those not too long ago days.

Another incident was when the team were out for a few drinks in Temple Bar after a game when they spotted Stephen Davies the snooker player coming out of a pub.  Most of them started ribbing him with snooker puns, "are you potting anything tonight Stephen" "what colour will it be" and the like.  Mcateer pipes up "One hundred and eighty".  Mcateer, according to Aldridge was as thick as pig shit.

Ian Taylor got the room to sing that Paul Magrath song too.
