Christ I hadn't realised the stat Jeff Stelling just came out with that we haven't kept a clean sheet away all season in any comp. If that's true it's disgraceful, and no wonder we're in the shit.

Balanced view

Collins missed a header, Beckford went one on one - Friedal saved us

Walker then did the same - Friedal saved us

Walker then did it again - Fridal didn't save us

Young has hardly touched the ball, NRC and Makoun are totally over-run by a three man reserve Everton midfield

And Bent and Gabby - we'' have they actually touched the ball (apart from when they have been off side)

We have one very very half chance from a corner from Collins and that is it.

Balanced view, a mediocre Everton side without Cahill , Arteta, Saha, Fellaini and others (together with  a bench that I give you a fiver if you have heard of more than 3 of them) should be 3-0 up.

And people seem to think that is acceptable !

Walker needs to concentrate, he's cost us a goal and could have cost us another just by sloppily giving the ball away.

Even first half - one cock up from out of form players - and soft trickly goal.

442 doesn't seem to be working - Gabby looks ill - though he's trying as usual.

I hope we go 433 in second half - use our England front line - Gabby rested - a midfielder on to complement Coker and Makoun.

We need someone to calm it down and control the play - the ball seems like a hot potato to many of our lads.

Still - where there's life there's hope.  I think we've seen the best that Everton can do - now it's our turn.

So dry your eyes and remember you are villa.

And I want my tenner to pay off.

I think Houllier has great foresight, sending Delfouneso and Bannan out to gain championship experience could prove vital next season.

Our only hope is there are 3 teams worse than us. Collins is wank

I'm a few thousand miles away in Jordan, I'm following this match on this thread only, please, someone with a balanced view, tell me, are we the all-too-familiar barrel of churning donkey turds, or is there hope?
Jimbo we have made a few mistakes at the back and got punished for one of them, we have had several corners and some oportunities but no cutting edge, I have not seen a lot of fight out there, no one busting a gut except NRC, we look nervous and quiet, we are not out of this yet but we need the next goal

We're not down yet. Get behind them.

We're not down if we lose this either, it's close down there.
Anyway, we'll grab a draw.
No we won't - we're going to win ;)

Yes, yes, yes!

Come on, Villa
