Have to say I would have gone Cuellar and Dunne - Collins was gash for Wales last week

If it's a height thing I think he'd have played Carlos at Right Back, plus he is taller than Dunne.

It's a living thing, it's a terrible thing to lose. It's a given thing

If it is 4-4-2 then it'll be counter-attacking, as Makoun and NRC could then both sit deep. That selection does throw up more questions than answers.

The Everton bench:

Subs: Mucha, Gueye, Vellios, Mustafi, McAleny, Forshaw, Nsiala.

Now I'm pretty into Football Manager and I have never heard of any of them!

Or Downing in midfield with Gabby on the wing. Or Young in the hole with Makoun and NRC holding, Gabby and Downing on the wings. We just won't know until kick-off.

It does. If Delph was starting instead of Gabby, we would be fairly certain Young would be wide.

Afternoon all.  Not had any match thread action for a while.

What's this talk of 4-4-2 ?  A mirage of some sort ?

Gueye is a good prospect.

Absolutely no excuses today - we couldn't have hoped for a weaker Everton team.  Maybe things are starting to look up
