Surely Clark can't be suspended again? He missed the last game.

I'd go Friedel - Walker, Cuellar, Dunne, Clark - NRC, Makoun, Delph - Downing, Bent, Young

subs: Marshall, Collins, Baker, Petrov, Bradley, Albrighton, Heskey.

Going up for this and looking forward to a nice drink and lunch before the game if nothing else :-)

This is how I would definitely go as well.  Capello has shown Houllier the formation to play and although I can see why Ged has tried to get Albrighton, Downing and Young in the same team, we now need to shore it up and stick 3 in the middle.

If he plays this team, I can see us at least drawing.  I fear however he will go the usual 4-4-1-1 and an unfortunate 2-0 defeat will await.

2-1 Everton

Hope not but I can't see our team playing well enough to beat a hard grafting , always hard to beat Everton team.

I want to see three in central midfield and only two wide players.

I anticipate disappointment on that count.

If Houlier plays the same failed set up after watching the England games, he should be strung up.

No disrespect to anyone, but I can't understand why people 'have a feeling we'll win this one', in fact 27 people do.

Why?

Because we're not all wrist-slashing miserablists.

Flip this on its head - who are these deserters predicting a Villa defeat? stick their heads on the Villa Park gates. Evertons injury list has more pages than the Census - Young, Albrighton, Downing and Bent will tear them apart.

I cannot believe there are people with any sort of sanity or football knowledge at all that are advocating 442 in any shape or form against an Everton side that dominate every facet of the game with a 451.It really does just defy all reason  that we will go to Goodison and control the game when all they do is congest the midfield and control the ball.I hate to agree with Houllier on anythin but if he goes and tries to beat a reasonable Everton side with 442 we will have about 30% posession and get destroyed!!!!!tenner on super mark to score first and we win 3-2 is 275-1 for me.
