I very much enjoyed taking the piss out of my India supporting work colleague last night.

1st - England
2nd - rain
3rd - India

Every time they've been in a position of strength, it's rained.

Bairstow looks a good prospect and has probably jumped ahead of Stokes & Taylor in the pecking order. Samit Patel in "can't field" shocker. I can't see him being called up again in a hurry.

Ravi Bopara deserves a lot of credit imo.  He's been a major reason reason for us winning/not losing the last 3 ODI's.

Bairstow was very impressive last night also.  Hit the ball so cleanly.

He's going to be a star, watched him closely as I used to like his Dad when I was growing up.

Bairstow was excellent. I'm really pleased to see Bopara doing well.

I think he'll play in the forthcoming one day series in India. Monty is the only other credible alternative. Both are lousy fielders but Patel is a much better batsman.

Maybe you're right that they'll take Samit Patel, but I'd look at Borthwick or even Briggs first. Patel is in the T20 squad for the Windies next week; mind you, so are Briggs & Borthwick...

Can't believe there's another Test in Cardiff either.

Or Old Trafford they have struggled for years trying to sell tickets for test matches.

No ashes in Australia 2014 to 2015.

I figure they wouldn't be playing 3 years straight!  Why aren't there any Ashes in Australia in those years?
