This could be all over by tea at this rate.

55-6 and Bresnan on a hat trick when he starts his next over.

We are clearly the best side in the World, in all but name at the moment. We are completely dominating our direct competitors.

India have been up against it in this series, due to a combination of England's drive and injuries + illness to key players at crucial times.

England should go on to close out the series with at least a 2 game margin and thus claim the no.1 spot.  But India (and Sri Lanka for that matter) in their own back yard will be a different proposition altogether.  Thing is, this side keep on facing down challenges and -lets be honest- they're doing it with a fair degree of style too.

Day 5 tickets for the Edgbaston test are now on sale from www.edgbaston.com.  They are £10 and non refundable if there is no play.

I think we're in Asia for the winter. We're playing India and Sri Lanka, and I,m sure that we're playing Pakistan on neutral grounds.

Isn't India for ODI only though?

India need to just knuckle down for the next half hour so I can finish work and get to my car so I can listen to the end of the test on the way home.

To win a game from 124 for 8 on the first day against the top ranked side in the world by over 300 is really impressive.

I've been very critical of Broad in the past but he's come of age in this series.

I was expecting more of a fight from India, a poor showing from them really.

I keep hearing this (mostly from India supporters at work!), but it goes both ways, India can't call themselves the best team in the World if they can't cope with pitches that aren't as flat as a witches tit.
England have now drawn in South Africa, beaten the Aussies comprehensively in their own backyard, stuffed Sri Lanka and are well on the way to a whitewash over the current No1 team, and I'd back our resilience and the fact we bat down to No11 to give it a really good go in India at the moment as well, especially as we now have the best spinner in Test Cricket.

What a comprehensive victory by England. We outplayed India in every discipline.

We had the worst of the pitch on day one and yet still came out with a 319 run victory.

Man of the match will be difficult. Bresnan, Broad and Bell are all in wth a shout. Bresnan for me.

Interesting selection problem for the Edgbaston test which starts on Wednesday week. if Trott isn't fit we could move all the batsmen up a place and recall Tremlett. If Trott is fit, then Bresnan must keep his place. Tremlett has never let England down but Bresnan has just scored 90 and taken a 5-fer. A nice problem for the selectors.
