Blimey, has us going a bit the last couple of overs.

Still a draw not a bad result, 2 points gained over Lancashire.

Hopeful Durham won't have enough time to force a victory against Notts.

Still looks all to play for.  I just have a nasty suspicion those docked points against the Pears will be decisive.

Maybe but 4 of our last 5 are against struggling Hants and Yorks - Somerset are in the mix now too

God,the Bears love to put you through it don't they! Game as good as over and they go and lose 2 wickets in last but one over. They can not have much faith in Barker sending Patel in before him with just 11 balls left. Still good result, all still to play for.

I wish they would show a couple more championship games on Sky,

This season is shaping up for an enthralling finish.

The Pears' exciting - and unlikely - win in Derby tonight partially made up for Villa's disappointing performance there yesterday. After several weeks at the bottom of the C40 table we're now up to 8th.

Worcestershire winning, does not make up for Villa losing Frank :-)

I did say "partially" Adam. And if the Villa game had been a proper fixture I wouldn't even have said that

1 Durham P12 Pts 183
2 Lancashire P12 Pts 177
3 Somerset P12 Pts 171
4 Warwickshire P11 Pts 168.

We're right in with a chance. If not for the eight points off, we'd be favourites I reckon.

The points deduction will be important but the fact that Durham have 14 more bonus points than us will have a huge impact. We really need to win our game in hand and win it well and then go on and perform consistently for the rest of the season.

Kieron Pollard was hitting the ball a very long way for Somerset in their T20 game at the weekend.

Neal Abberley the ex-Bears coach and latter mentor to Ian Bell has died.

A fitting tribute would be for Belly to score a ton in the Edgbaston test. No Bears player has ever scored a ton in an Edgbaston test.

Sad news, I went to school with his son and they were a nice family.
