I said Klinnsmann or Bilic in the summer, and I'm saying Klinnsmann or Bilic again now. GH should have a director role, not DoF perhaps but not far off, in order to implement all his ideas, because there's no problem with those - he just doesn't quite have that madness, that fire which you need to be a top manager. He can reorganise the club's infrastructure, emphasise the youth system even more perhaps, be involved in the transfer process, along with the manager, and so on. But we need someone with similar ideas but perhaps more of that will to succeed which players respond to.

What have Klinsmann and Bilic done in the game to deserve the job?

Wouldn't have minded Klinsmann last summer.

Could even see an argument a few months back for GH in a DOF role and a Coyle or  perhaps even a Laudrup in a more hands on coaching/management capacity.

But I think now if GH goes, he has to go completely.

In reality does that matter? See Houllier and what he has done, everyone wants him out.

Everyone? The poll seems to suggest otherwise.

Agree completely. *What* Houllier has tried to introduce is exactly what villa need in my opinion. The failure is *how* he had gone about it. I just dont think he has the guile, energy for the fight or indeed the charm to be both training ground coach and a strategic manager of the infrastructure of the whole club. Fair play to him it was a huge ask of any individual and he's not been shy about trying to change things.

I don't want to see Houllier fired, but I would like to see him moved upstairs and let him help the young and hungry hot management prospect. I want to see what happens in summer transfer windows.

And Rafa - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I think if you pick any football mad Spanish waiter off the street he will do a better job than Rafa. He mess up Liverpool and Inter Milan.

I voted for Coyle but I think there might be a role for Hou as Director of Football with a younger manager below him (but not McAllister) - candidates like Coyle (although I couldn't see him accepting that role), Grayson, Lambert and perhaps even KMac.

I'd like Bilic as mentioned above. Not that I think he'd be any good but for his air of louche insouciance, standing in the dug-out smoking a fag and reading a 1950s pulp detective novel.

I think GH will resign/moved upstairs in the summer, and expect Coyle or someone like him, to be brought in.

The danger is GH's spell in charge has been so poor, no budding (or even pretty experienced) manager will want to come in and be associated with it.

If GH had even been average, a Coyle or similar might be more inclined to work under (or be loosely associated with) a bloke who's CV wasn't too bad until he pitched up at VP.

83% don't want him which is pretty conclusive.

In a win-the-Champions-League-type way.

on this basis I'd like Bilic as well.
