Had a go at the BBC Predictor

For us -
Losses against Everton, Stoke, Arsenal, Liverpool
Draws against Newcastle, West Ham
Wins against WBA, Wigan

I ended up with a bottom three of 18th WBA, 19th Blackburn and 20th Wigan, with Blackpool escaping on goal difference.

Villa were tied on points with Blues on 41 in 12th/13th places, 5 points above the relegation zone.

Villa
Blackburn
Wigan

If Le Gaffuer is in charge , and I think he wil be.

ST prices must drop then, maybe a minor , unwanted benefit , maybe a warming to the board who must take some of the blame for appointing such an utterly crap Manager.

Someone asked me back in January and i said Blackpool, Blues and Wigan. I'm still sticking with them but it really coud be anyone on 36 points or less.

Really depressing to see so many villa fans predicting us to go down.

I'm rapidly losing faith myself but am praying we can beat the Baggies and Wigan and scrape a few draws to stay up. By the way, even if we stay up I'd get rid of Houllier. This has been a shameful season. I've said before that he probably has tried to change the club's philosophy for the long term benefit but match day is where it counts and I've never had less confidence in a villa side and management. It is like torture every Saturday.

I said at Christmas West Brom, West Ham and Blackpool. Could still happen.

BLUE SCUM
BLACKPOOL
WIGAN

I think we'll pick up some decent results against West Ham, Everton, and Newcastle, while fucking up with games like Wigan and Stoke at home.

We'll survive.

West Ham bought well in Jan - Bridge has done well for them (maybe a bit of a blow he did not come in hindsight?), Ba has been a revelation and got 4 in 5, Tommy Hitz has got fit to give them a good passer in the middle and Keane gives them guile. They are fragile still, but Green, Upson, Bridge, Parker, Noble, Ba and Keane give them enough experience and quality to get out. In fact Keane would be better than Ash in the hole, Bridge would be left back, Upson would walk into our team, most likely so would Green and Parker. So they are probably squad wise as good as us now.

WBA, Wolves, Blues, Blackpool, Blackburn and Wigan are way inferior, but the first 4 will fight harder and are more physically equiped to play the rough and ready football that will scrape you out. Blackburn are on a mass slide, Wigan are a bit like us. I just think those 3 will be outfought. We are trying to run before we can walk with the style of football I fear, and need a plan B to get us through, then build the side capable of playing the way he wants if the club retain him.

TECHNICALLY we have better and more skilful players than many, if not all, of our relegation rivals.

But it's fight, character and spirit that get's you out of the shit when you're in a relegation scrap.
We seem to have none of this under Le Smirk.

I agree. If you look at the clubs around us, they all have the ability to be resilient and defend with steel; and also to pick up shock results.

We can do neither. We are predictable, and we look immensely like a team of overpaid and overrated players who have no loyalty to the club. A team of Ashley Youngs, if you will.
