Clearly bored I just added up the available tickets on the officail sites seating chart and made it 1709. Should be a sell out.

That sort of dedication would get you far in the GTC League!

That's the thing with us right now. We are simply trying to do a Keegan type thing of trying to just score more than the opposition and lets just hope the other end stays tight.

With 6 defenders unavailable or not being considered I don't see we have much choice.

So, what's our capacity?

Well I started to count the seats once. All I can say is that it is more than 17.

After some consideration, I'd pick Heskey at CH.

I think he's played there a couple of times for Wigan so it's not a completely strange position for him.

Just tell him to win everything in the air and Carlos will cover and track Doyle. Would pick Baker over Delph at LB although in fairness I think either are going to struggle big time against Jarvis.

The good news is Wolves can't defend either, even with their first choice back 4 so think we'll win 3-2.

I think Heskey would be great at CH

Just tell him that he is attacking the goal he is really defending and the ball will go nowhere fucking near it

Problem is he'll miss every ball knocked into the box also so his usefullness will be somewhat negated.

Redd Pepper

Quote
One of the biggest names in Hollywood will be appearing at Villa Park for the big derby match with Wolves.

You may not know the name Redd Pepper - but you'll certainly recognise the voice.

Pepper is a voice actor, notable for his work providing theatrical trailers for movies such as Amistad, The Blair Witch Project, Men in Black, Independence Day, Boogie Nights and Armageddon.

Since the death of the leading light in voice work Don LaFontaine, Pepper has become the main man when it comes to booming brilliance.

His first job was at a McDonalds restaurant after which he spent six months as a fireman and then became a train driver on the London Underground.

It was in 1996 that a television executive passenger, hearing his amazing voice on the loudspeaker on one of his trains offered him his card - and the rest is history.

Virtually overnight Pepper became the voice of the Sci-Fi Channel in Europe.

The more his deep bass voice was broadcast, the more in demand it became.

Since then, he has become known as 'Mr Movie Trailer Man' from the sheer number of Hollywood blockbusters his voice has trailed.

After providing numerous voiceovers for TV channels and adverts initially, he began doing movie trailers, with his first being Space Jam in 1996.

Pepper - a claret and blue fanatic from an early age - always harboured a dream to do the announcing at a Villa match and that will be realised when Wolves come to town at the weekend.

He will also be interviewed on AVTV about his career and his support of Villa so stay tuned for more as we get it.

I think the game will hinge, must as last week, on whether we take our chances. If we do then it should be a comfortable win. At the end of the day, it is a lot easier to knock the confidence out of a side by scoring your chances and putting the game to bed. Get a good 2-3 goals up and we will close it out. Miss a lot of chances it will help their confidence and dent ours. I feel quite good about it though, maybe 4-2 in a bit of a fest going forward. The other thing IF Wolves put Jarvis down their right then if we can get Delph forward, he might spend more of the game going backwards than forwards. Stick Makoun and Reo Coker in front of the back 4 and we will be ok.

we're going to approach this like we did Blackburn. They'll come to defend, and pinch something on the break. They know we'll be expected to take the game to them, and they'll know we aren't exactly watertight at the back. However, if we can take our early chances then they won't have the firepower to stay with us irrespective of our defensive issues. They have a miserable away record, and our home form hasn't been that bad. I think 3-1 to us, with Downing and Bent among the scorers.

Heskey at centre back conjures up images of him mistiming tackles giving away free-kicks and penalties. He doesn't have the tact for that responsibility.

It's all very noble of GH to keep Beye and Warnock out of the picture, but at the end of the day they are paid a king's ransom and are employees of AVFC. This pig-headed stance by GH is threatening our status in the Premier League. We need experience for this crucial run-in not the likes of Chris Herd at this stage. Houllier is a joke!

Last time Warnock played was for the Reserves against Wigan where he gave away a free kick which they scored from and was doing this in the first team regularly prior to being dropped.Do we need that sort of experience ?

Walker    Cuellar    Baker    Delph

NRC                Makoun     to provide some protection

I actually thought Herd did well against Man city
