Given gerard's propensity for surprises, I think he'll play Makoun and Pires in the middle.

Hopefully Collins and Cuellar will both make it. Wolves throw in plenty of crosses.

My only prediction is that it will be nervy - for both sides.

I never thought Baker would make it at Villa but he's done O.K considering.
It's very difficult for a youngster coming into a defence that is very unsettled and unsure of itself.
That said, I'd rather he was on the bench. Maybe Warnock has made amends (I doubt it) and is in because we actually need him and have no left back otherwise.

I still want him gone come the summer and I'm sure he will be but it would be nice if he decided to earn his huge pay and maybe even, as a treat, not play like a spanner into the bargain.
In which case a back 4 of Walker, Cuellar, Collins and Warnock would do nicely. It also offers the symmetry of W,C,C,W which is very important.

..and from that only half of our back 4 is toilet, but not the one that is W.C.

Baker did not play CB at Bolton, Luke Young filled in there
Having said that Baker seems to have the physique/height to fill in at CB if we are desperate

Baker is naturally a centre half.

If Mountain Man and Toothless man score won't they be disallowed as surely fans aren't allowed on the pitch!

If Cuellar and Collins are fit I'd play them and put Clark in at LB.  NRC to play aswell and that might give us a chance of a clean sheet.

2-0 Villa.

The Dogheads are garbage and going down.

If we attack like we did against Bolton, then we'll smash them into next week.

Carlos in the middle to deal with the high ball.

Wolves's recent form dosen't suggest they're garbage tbh.

Beaten Man City, Man utd & Chelsea at Home
Won at Anfield

The worrying thing for me is that with a MM team you know they will roll their sleeves up and have a good day whereas we would try and kick them when they weren't looking then run off

Must admit, I do find the decision to increase Lichaj's loan spell at Leeds until the end of the season a strange one, given the situation we're in defensively. Couldn't we at least have called him back for this one to provide cover on the bench, then extended the deal after that? I'd rather have him on the bench as cover than Herd. Lichaj can play all across the back four.

If Collins doesn't make it, I'd have Warnock back in, Baker at CB with King Carlos. Time to swallow the pride with Warnock; tell him he's back in, playing for a summer move.

There will be plenty of goals on Saturday. We simply have to win but I am not sure that we will. I am plumping for two all.

I'd be willing to forgive and forget with Warnock and Beye so long as they are willing to make amends depending on how bad we are for injuries and what exactly went on with the Chuckle brothers and Sid.

I'd go for a three of Delph, NRC and Makoun in midfield but will expect Le Gaffeur to leave out Delph and keep the three wingers in the team.

With the makeshift defence and off-field ructions think this is going to be very nervy.  We absolutely must put our chances away as I can't see us keeping a clean sheet even against the Dingles. I'll go for 4-2 to us, more in hope than expectation
