Man City have released a statement:

Quote
Manchester City confirm that the FA has informed Kolo Toure that an ‘A-sample’ provided by him has tested positive for a specified substance.

As result of this, he has been suspended from participating in all first team and non-first team matches pending the outcome of the legal process.

There will be no further comment from the football club at this stage.

Most enlightening!

I think personally Mr Houllier should have had a drug test after the team he fielded last night.

Intentionally or not, that really made me laugh.

Judging by Balotelli's haircut, they should test him as well.

What does this quote from the BBC mean?

"The World Anti-Doping Agency defines a specified substance as one that is "more susceptible to a credible, non-doping explanation"."

Can't they just say performance enhancing or recreational drugs?

After seeing him on the bench I think he had an overdose of night nurse.

If only it'd been Yaya.  He scored the opener, they'd have been thrown out or a replay at least.  We could've sent our 1st team.

He would have put the youth team out against Reading then!

Or the Old Stars might have got a run out.

Isn't Kolo Toure on about £100,000 a week?  He's probably pissed off at earning less than half of what his brother does.  Sibling rivalry and all that.
