Last night it was MONs players that were shite, not GHs.

It's taken longer than i thought it would, but i knew MON would get the blame for last night eventually.

So, picking a side that you don't agree with is now considered a sackable offence, because if you strip away all the emotive stuff that is all that happened last night. We're turning football into a reality show where fans think that they can vote out the ones they don't like.

I realise this is just a typical Chris Smith attempt at being contrary, but do you really think that last night's team selection was acceptable?
I don't want him sacked, that would be daft, but I would like a better explanation than a Gallic shrug and some pathetic mumblings about them all being internationals (of Australia, Bulgaria, U-21's, the odd fringe player at a decent country and Emile Fucking Heskey).
We don't have a divine right to win the FA Cup, just because we really, really want to. Even if we had beaten Man Citeh last night, we'd still have had Arsenal/Man U in the final.  Given the mess he inherited, he's done very well to get some wins but the priority remains the League and not getting relegated.

I was fuming about Moscow, but I'm not so upset about last night. Not to say I'm dancing in the street but I can see why he rested players.

I'm just pleased to see the likes of Delph & Herd get a chance and not resorting to the likes of Beye & Warnock.

Yes, 8 wins in 28 league games, he has done well.

One day on and I'm still angry.

Doesn't help that I currently have to work alongside four Citeh fans.  Of course the most informed comment came from the one who'd actually attended: "Can we have the balls back? That was the most entertaining thing your lot did all night..."

He pick the team he did because he's worried about relegation, you might not think it is that important but he doesn't have that luxury and I am sure his boss has made him aware that it is not an option. I wouldn't have made as many changes myself but he's the manager and he has the right to pick the side he wants. I also understand that if he wants to get a look at Bradley, Bannan, Delph and Herd in first team action then he doesn't have many other chances to take the risk.

I've yet to read a quote from GH saying that his team selection was based on fear of relegation. I'd have thought he'd have a lot more faith in the team and squad than to panic and dismiss the cup. As for Bradley, Delph, Bannan, the Fonz and Herd, there's no reason why he can't give them playing time in league matches, ideally coming off the bench when we're 3-0 up against somebody like Blackburn, for example.

As I said earlier, I get the feeling he's trying to accomodate everybody, keeping all the players happy, rather than getting on with the job in hand of winning games whilst improving the general performance of the team. Let's be honest, we haven't a clue what will be the starting XI against Bolton. I'm all for a bit of rotation but 8 changes just when we're trying to build up a bit of momentum was madness.

Or one defeat in nine - at Old Trafford.

Is that why they kept the ball? I thought they were just showing the players how to do it.

Near me they sent in a similar number to evict a fan who'd had a fag.

Probably the only person last night wearing Villa colours to set the world alight , whilst our Cup dreams went up in smoke.

It was funny, in a naughty but I'm fed up type of way, when they showed on the big screen our fans heading the ball to each other.

Yeah it was lovely to see Delph and co get a run out. It really warmed the heart. Tell you what, why don't we just play friendlies from now on. Who cares about winning stuff.
