Adrian Chiles had some faux sympathy for Villa at half time. Or so it seemed to me.

The worst than Moscow talk being trotted out is nonsense. Bent is cuptied and we have a number of players (Cuellar, Collins etc) injured. I'd much rather give a run out to players who will be here next season than Warnock or Beye who have been generally poor this season.

Bannan is playing well, as is Delph and Herd. Would like to see NRC come on for Petrov, and Young/Downing/Albrighton for Heskey

Bulls**t.

This should have been all about getting the result no matter what. NRC right back and Walker left back would not have been perfect but might have done a job.

Young and Downing should have been definite starters, no 2 ways about it.

Bradley has been really dissapointing each time he's been on the pitch since arriving. The guy needs time to settle but his headless chicken routine is frustrating as hell, lots of endeavour but zero impact.

Coupled with the slow death of Petrov it leaves us with a completely ineffectual midfield.

ISn't this only his secon

Some balanced views on here in support of the manager, but frankly I just see a manager who does not understand his customers.  His supporters have seen the local rivals lift a trophy at Wembley and he plays a side that has no chance from the start.

Last weekend he said the break from football was frustrating, now we have a break for another weekend GH, and plenty of time for the supporters to think how they are going to spend their weekends from August.

I won't shop elsewhere, but my season ticket will not be renewed next year.

Bring on the General.

I hate to say it but I agree with Strachan, we have to beat Bolton now.  We have no excuse, everyone is rested and ready.  Im so pissed off, the only bonus so far is Bannan, lets hope we have a storming second half...

OK team selection seems a little strange and I can understand the criticism.
But in Gerrard we trust, its going to be ok.
I will quote this to you all in 2 hours time when we have won.

I hope.

How's your trust holding up?

Merde

ISn't this only his second or third appearance?  First start?

Trouble is no one gives anybody a chance any more.

man City have scored one lucky goal and one good goal.  The good goal aided by the fact we don't have a left back that's fit enough or good enough to play - I wouldn't blame delph.

Gabby is a goalscorer and nothing else.  Has been for years.  heskey is heskey.

Nothing is new here.

This is what O'neill left us with.

This season was always going to be  write-off let's not get too upset and too judgemental.  15 years since we won a trophy and it's not houllier's fault.

So fuckin glad I had to work and couldn't fly over for this.  I'd have been back at the airport by now.  How fuckin predictable.  It was over at 1-0.  4 minutes!!!
You might have had an evening of better weather though...

Hiya, how was your visit?  Better weather?  Oh, you mean the rain we've had.  Yeah it's been pretty shit, but it's freezing in Manchester apparently.

Southgate says we have to keep it at 2-0. That should do it.

This is a joke.  Humiliated on national TV.

Resting players for a match on Sunday against Bolton!  Another fuck up from Houllier who hasn't got off his arse yet to motivate the kids.
