Possibly the reason why there hasn't been an all-English line-up since then?

*Cough*

Actually Middlesbrough did it after us with that only not counting after Mansfield born substitute James Morrisson decided he wanted to be Scottish a few years after the game.

Goddamn' Europeans!
Take me back to beautiful England
And the grey, damp filthiness of ages, and battered books,
Fog rolling down behind the mountains,
And on the graveyards, and dead sea-captains.

Let me walk through the stinking alleys
To the music of drunken beatings,
Past the Thames River, glistening like gold
Hastily sold for nothing....NOTHING!

Yep.  Seriously, how did that team lose to that pile of shite 4-1?

George Boateng scored twice and we ended up signing him. The walk down Witton Station wasnt very pleasant afterwards. One of the last times i remember seeing mounted police at the Villa.

I vividly remember seeing a Cov fan lying down on Witton Lane being attended to by paramedics afterwards, with a 50p-sized hole in the side of his head.  Not very pleasant.

That mob are one team I really don't miss us playing.
