Taylor is the nearest we've had to a fan that has played for the club, but remained a fan.He couldn't have been more clear about the result of the match on Sunday in last nights E+S column, instead of trotting out the standard lines. That tends to set him apart and makes him so popular.

Na, never in a million years.I disagree.A legend does not have to be about being the best player ever, it can also be about being a local hero, a player who always gave absolutely everything in nearly every game, and a player who was a local lad, a Villa fan and who was truly living the dream. For me Ian Taylor fulfils those criteria and is, for me, and in my opinion only, a Villa legend.
