It's likely that I'll be going back to London with Jon after our game tomorrow.  His hotel is near Wembley and whenever there is a match on the hotel gets overrun (well there are normally a few, maybe half a dozen) football fans.

If they win I am staying in our room avec a couple of bottles of wine.

i won't be watching. i'll turn over every now and then to see the score and if Arsenal are at least 2 up with not long to go I'll leave it on. I won't look at anything to do with the game in the press, i won't go on the Small heath thread, and i won't engage in any banter with the Arse fans here...

Seconded.   Can't wait til it's over.  Shame we may have to go through it all again in a few weeks in the big cup.

Oi - they've nicked that off here, I should know I wrote it. Donations to H&V please soccerprint!

Soccerprint is obviously some shady operation run by thieves and other roguish elements, you should sue. Probably find Harry Redknapps involved with them.

I'll be watching and hoping they win. No, really. It's much easier to hope that when you no longer live in Brum.

A barbie in February? You'll be lucky not to get hypothermia.

Well, can't say they didn't deserve it. Wanted it more. Played some really good football. It's sort of my fault tho.

When my nephew Jamie was born, I used to talk to him about a then Newcastle striker with a funny name who scored good goals. When he signed for Blose in the window, I texted my sister at the time, fearing that too much talk of him at his school (now he's 4) might see him ending up a Bluenose. When he was about to come on, I sent her this:

"Obafemi Martins coming on for Blose with 7 minutes to go in Carling Cup Final with scores level 1-1. I can already guess what will happen in his and Jamie's near future!"

Sorry everyone. Shame I never seem to do so well with my Villa predictions.

No Europe for us then, unless we finish 6th.

I've got a mate who's a Villa fan, grew up going to watch Villa one week and Blose the next (with mates from school). He now works in tv, editing live football for the PL coverage that is beamed around the world. And a very good knack for calling the final score of big matches.

He predicted 2-1 to Blose today. No idea what the odds were, but if richard got Blose to win at 6/1, assume they must have been pretty good.

One of mates had Zigic first scorer and Blues to win 2-1 - 125/1.

It sticks in my throat to say it but they deserved that.  The Arsenal defence is as bad as ours when we're at our worst.
