Villa Fan says NO to AV
« on: February 18, 2011, 06:19:54 PM »
I thought our PM was a Villa fan.

He's spent the day saying NO to AV.

I think Cameron is going to take advantage of the Liberals being unpopular by getting his own way over the AV (alternative vote) issue. Before the last election many would have voted for a fairer system as it would have prevented a Tory government. Now we've had a Tory government supported by the 2 faced Lib Dems they stand more chance of winning the argument.

The Tories hold the majority of the coalition and so will hold the majority of the decisions, the majority of which go against Lib Dem policies.

It's like Randy and the Villa fans. We're a coalition, but ultimately, whilst he'll do his best to appease the fans, he'll do it his way. (Though Randy treats us much better than Cameron with Clegg)

I am living in hope that once the cuts start biting and decent working folk (thats if there any left working) realise that the rich are still getting richer that we will see a reawakening of a true Socialist Labour Party led by someone like the late John Smith, rather than the pseudo Tory Browns and Blairs of this world.

Just my opinion :)
