We we're very lucky to sell him when we did.  The wankers in the crowd were getting on his back because of he was a Graham Taylor purchase.

Redknapp knows how to use him...

To get the brown paper bags from the loose brick in the really high wall.

Dead right. I remember a particular game when he came on as sub when some twat in front of me on the lower Holte started booing even before he'd kicked a ball.

He might not have been a success but he was never given a chance at Villa by the fans, sometimes we're our own worst enemies.

I had a row with some knob over exactly the same thing, lower holte, right on the bend with the Trinity.

I will say though, I thought he'd won a lot of fans over before he left, he came back from Norwich looking much sharper and was unlucky to find Angel in his best form for us.

Crouch is a decent player and with good control for a big man , spurs were outstanding against Milan and a credit to English football last night , flamimi and gattuso were a disgrace and should have both been sent off but fair play to harry and his men , it's very rare I say it but well done spurs!

Neither.

He's decent but a good way short (ha) of being top quality.

They did well and it's a very good result but Milan were so average I think describing their performance as "outstanding" is falling for the Sky hype.

I don't think that it was because he was bought by Taylor as such, more that people couldn't understand why he was being picked ahead of Angel.

There's only one Rodney Trotter!

Got a fantastic record for England but most goals came against crap opposition. Should score more in the PL.

Especially as he was replaced by Carlton Cole.

we dont play the worlds top teams very regulary, and when we do, the manager chooses not to play his best goalscorer, and instead plumps for Rooney and Defoe etc.

he cant score if he's not on the pitch, but when he is, he does.

look back at Greavsie's record,  when we were thrashing teams 8 and 9 nil, scoring goals at international level was a lot easier then, no one says that about him, or others of that gen.

he was all over Milan last night, they couldnt handle him,
he reduced one of europes hardest players into a quivering snarling wreck of a man,

also talking about scoring against top class oposition, you wont see a better hatrick than the one he scored against Arsenal at Anfield.

probably the most underated striker of all times

I wasn't happy when he left and even less happy when we had the ineffective Carlton Cole in on loan.

I wasn't bothered when he left, and I've never been especially interested in having him back.
