David Rudisha was unbelievable in the 800m first athlete at these games to break a world record on the track.

One of the American 4x400 guys ran the last 200metres of his leg with a broken leg as he "didn't want to let the team down". Hard bastard.

Quality 200m final.

Unbelieveable. Bolt actually slowed down before he reached the line. Could have easily broken the world record.

Why did he slow down...........

Aliens made him do it.

Or he may have realised he wasn't on for a WR when he glanced at the clock so showboated a bit. He cracks me up the cocky fecker.

Why did he slow down...........

Michael Johnson said that he had looked at the clock and knew he wasn't going to break it so he just slowed up.

Maybe but he was only .12 of a second off breaking it and he eased off at least 15/20 yards from the finish

Never mind the "Steve Davis" of running, the blasted Jarmans have won the first set in the Beach Volleyball final. In brighter news the DJ has dropped a bit of James Brown and his mate on the mic appears to be the big gob off-of the X Factor.
