Ah silver for Murray and Robson, Robson's level really dropped in that tie break.

TBH I think the pressure got to her a bit. But she is still young.

Seems to be a common feature of Robson's game where she has the raw talent to compete with players in the top 10 but psychologically goes right off the boil when the pressure is on.  I'm not sure thats all that easy to coach someone out of, hope I'm wrong though and she is still very young.  Two gold medals in the Tennis would just have been greedy anyway!

Right, I think its time for a sort of guess the crowd type thing for the mens 100m, but for the winning time and winner.

My guess is going to be Yohan Blake in 9.55 secs

Reading the Observer sports section this morning, sounds like this is an extremely fast track, so it could well be a record.

Blake in 9.67. Bolt will be slow off the blocks and struggle to bronze.

I've heard it a few times now re how fast the track is, why is that?  Is it a special surface or is it the design of the stadium that reduces cross & headwinds or just the fact its a new surface?  Anyone seen any plausible explanations.

The beach volleyball continues to delight. The Yanks have just demolished the Italians, one of which I fell hopelessly in love with although she played poorly.

New additions to the DJ's between point music includes Dolly Parton's 9 to 5, which evokes an image that takes a long time to erase. Another womens QF just before ten.

I was wondering the same myself
