Huge for Murray. Proves he can beat the likes of Federer in the longer form, which will be huge going into the US Open later this year. Also huge because he didn't just win - he bloody well blew Federer away today. Also beat Djoko in the semi and, because he kept this match down to as little time as possible, has as much left in the tank as he could do for later on with Robson in the mixed doubles. Absolutely perfect.

Brilliant from Murray.

Made Henry McGee look ordinary.

So the next four possible golds. Mixed doubles, women's individual sprint, omnium and maybe the 5,000m. That would be 20 and more than we got in Beijing. Fantastic.

Do we have any hopes in the boxing this year? We usually do alright at that.

It was only  a few days ago when there was a lot of moaning about our lack of medals, especially Gold. Bet none of them admit it though.

The Scousette Natasha something is doing very well in the women's lightweight division. Don't know about the rest.

Oh of course not. As long as they feel appropriately stupid.

Women's sprint final isn't til tuesday, though I think we could have gone past 25 golds by then

They are probably too stupid to feel stupid, especially the tabloids.
