Apparently, it was all just a big misunderstanding

Nice to see the French coming to our defence. Get the impression it is an accepted unofficial rule.  Bit like a second service in tennis.
In any case it's the foreigners  who cheat not Brits!

Is it just me who thought this was Hindes' attempt at making a joke?

Re: attractive women, while Vicky Pendleton is bloody gorgeous, Anna Watkins scrubbed up VERY well when she was being interviewed by Lineker this evening.

Interestingly during her interview it looked like the remote control car tournament was on in the background. Hope we win a medal in it.

Unfortunately I think they are only used to return the hammers back to the start line. Hopefully the only Hammers we will ever see in the Olympic Stadium.

bloomin eck, unbelievable last lap in the 10k from the winner (dibaba), seriously impressive finish, just blitzed away at the front and won by 40-50yards after being pretty much together at the bell.  62seconds for the lap.

*** watching again I think I may have sold her short, the gap was probably quite a bit bigger than that.

I dont know how anyone can run for half an hour at, lets be honest, not a slow pace, then produce a sprint finish like that! Amazing stuff.

Yes I was blown away by Dibaba's performance in the 10k tonight. Want that from Mo Farrah tomorrow. I love track and field stuff when it's all going on!

Great atmosphere in stadium but a bit windy if you stand at the back of the athletes seating near the flame there is a cold breeze coming in between the upper and lowertiers.

Us workers (officials) have got an early start in morning - have to check Jess Ennis in again as she starts day 2. Not seen much of the events as don't finish my shift till about 30 mins before last event.

At least we have been provided with a hotel room just outside OlympicPark.

The single most impressive thing I've seen so far in the games was the way Victoria Pendleton just sailed around the pack on the outside as if they weren't there. Truly superb.

She is very, very attractive.

Didn't she used to be a rower too?

Only thing I didn't understand about Pendleton's race was why did the bloke in the black uniform pull out? He was winning.

I think they realised he was cheating so he had to withdraw from the race. Either that or the engine gave out.

1. There's too much on today and I'm going to miss a shit load 'cos I'm out later.

2. It's the new "can I get". The world champion used to be horse trainer Aiden O'Brien (it's appears very popular with the Irish) and can be replaced by telling to some one to "listen" when you're answering a question, something that I would imagine is being done in the first place.

Rebecca Adlington looks like the tall alien from Prometheus.

That is all.
