There's a risk of a damp knee for all blokes watching her play

Great result for the Gymnasts, I know fuck all about it but they've got a Silver medal and one guy comes from Wolverhampton and trains in the Free State of Halesowen.

Superb, the floor routine by the ginger guy was brilliant, as above I know feck all about it, but it was pretty clear that his routine was pretty special.

Can't believe I'm passing comment on the gymnastics, the olympics does odd things to me clearly.

EDIT:  Do have to wonder how much the crowd noise affected the japanese guy at the end, could the first genuine case of the home advantage pushing us up the medal table.

hmm, maybe the judges thought the same as me then, no idea what the appeal was based on or what the rules around appeals are though.

Gymnastics is all very impressive, but like diving etc, I don't like the fact that the scoring is based on people's opinions.  How on earth for example, do you get to the position where a team can appeal and then move up the points table?  Can we appeal the FA Cup final against Chelsea?

We could but on what grounds I'm not not sure, outstanding effort in letting people down?

to be honest I'm not all the impressed by lochte given all the hype about him before it started, hasn't looked dominating in any event other than maybe the medley but came along with a reputation as if he was going to replicate phelps.
