Right day 1 of my Olympics today with a quick trip to Mould trafford to watch Team GB get outclassed against Senegal though I'm quite interested in seeing how Uruguay get on in their game as they seem to have a strong squad with both Cavani and Suarez playing.

Next trip is to watch the Womens road race on Sunday at Box Hill when hopefully we'll be on the medal table from Saturday and Amitstead and Cooke can conjur something up.

Can't wait.

Well bloody typical performance froma British team, gte in the lead then try and sit back on it. Stuart Pearce really is a tactically useless idiot.

Oh and well done to whoever organised the Catering today, they ran out of hot food by about 6pm across the whole stadium, just got home and I'm starving.

I thought it was a great effort by the football team. Senegal were a bunch of dirty bastards.

I think that Senegal's tackling coaches are Hutton and Delph

I'm fairly certain I'm the only person in the world who thinks he is a pompous arse

A chap that I work with went to one of the opening ceremony rehearsals and said there were some gunuine moments of awe.

And because of that I'll be watching it in the pub.

Redgrave is in the BBC studio - is this because he's not lighting the cauldron or is it meant to throw us off the scent?

I imagine you would have been watching it in the pub regardless of what he said.

That's the whole point and why he is so charming, in a British pompous arse kind of way.

That’s an understatement.  I’m intrigued but I’m not sure I’m enjoying it.
