SSN acting amazed that Mereilles' move to Chelsea has gone through so quickly after his transfer request, without making it clear it was obviously part of the deal that he'd do that and therefore waive any loyalty bonuses.

Deal done this morning clearly, and sky are trying to pretend it was a shock as they missed it totally until the clubs announced it.

Those Arsenal fans look a right bunch of knob heads.

1: macheda on loan
2: riccardo fuller stoke
3: joe cole
4: scott dann
5: anton ferdinand

1: So a young striker who is worse then our own young striker and would stop any development from him.
2: A striker like Carew who turns it on when he can be arsed.
3: Another turning on when he can be arsed who reportedly turned us down anyway.
4: Scott Dann who did look good for Blues but who has only interested a really poor Blackburn side and in an area (CB) where we have the strongest selections.
5: As above on Strongest area but a worse defender on par with Zat and Curtis.

Delfouneso is the new Luke Moore, it puzzles me why everybody thinks he is so fucking good? Hardly set the world alight for us, even Burnley sent him back early?!?!?!?!?
Probably because Delfouneso wanted to get out of a shithole like Burnley ASAP.

Welcome to VP Messrs Hutton and Jenas...

The club can confirm that agreement has been reached with Tottenham Hotspur over the transfer of Alan Hutton and the season-long loan of Jermaine Jenas.

Scotland international Hutton passed a medical and agreed terms this evening, sealing a deal to 2015.

England international Jenas also passed a medical this evening.

Villa manager Alex McLeish said: "Alan is a player whom I know well. He is an athletic full back in his mid-20s - a very good age - and he has a lot of experience playing at a high level, both internationally with Scotland and with Glasgow Rangers and Tottenham Hotspur which are big clubs. So he fits the bill in terms of having the right temperament to be an important and influential player for Villa.

"Jermaine is a dynamic midfield player and I feel he will add to the quality of the squad as well. He also has played at a very high level and I'm sure he will be relishing this opportunity."

I am wary of these loan signings. Especially as our manager is on a season long loan from the blues. He is on loan isn't he?

So now a struggle into January, where the sale of Darren Bent will fund yet more desperation signings in an attempt to stave off relegation.

That's precisely what both these players should do at Villa relish the opportunity to prove they are not "has been's" and go for it, its up to them now.

Mr. Brice Jovial, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

No clubs will be interested unless he's regularly scoring. If he is, we'll be playing okay. So stop worrying.

I'd use many word to describe Jenas. Dynamic isn't one.

It's going to be a long season............................

Judgement must be reserved right now. I remember a couple of summers ago when people were going to string themselves up because it looked like Tom Huddlestone was joining. He then went on to have the season of his life.
