I don't know enough about Simpson to tell you if he's good enough or not. He could be the next Kyle Walker for all we know. However, for fucks sake, surely we could have done better? Is there nobody on the planet that we could have signed. Is it too much to ask to find a player with an accent or an umlaut above a letter in their name?

I fully behind Alex McLeish as he has to be very frustrated by this. I hope he can lift himself and the club until January where we can go through this bollocks again.

Isn't Simpson the fella who was at Man U?  If it is, he was very highly rated a few years ago and I'd imagine he's still quite young too, so time to improve.

He's an ex Man Utd youth team player, loaned to Newcastle for their promotion season, then signed permanent. Could be best described as "ok".

The whopping 5 million he is going to Blackburn for. This is completely taking the piss now. Fucking clueless. I feel sorry for Darren Bent, they must have done a right job on him to get him to sign.
