BBC saying Jenas to Villa on loan...

"Speaking of Harry Redknapp, here's some Tottenham news... no-one other than Scott Parker arriving yet though, but the clear-out could be continuing. Occasional England midfielder Jermaine Jenas looks set to join Aston Villa on loan, and Alan Hutton remains on course to join him at Villa Park, although Fulham are keen on the Scotland full-back too."

So at best it's going to be taking a chance on an Irish kid who can't play until January, and if we're "lucky" Jenas and Hutton?  Be still my beating heart.

I have followed the career if Jenas for many years and he is without doubt one of the luckiest players to win an England cap since Carlton Palmer.

Hugely overated.

We should nick Palacios from under Stoke's nose as well as Jenas and Hutton.

Spurs' reserve teamers are actually quite good.

The price tag is the only stumbling block for Hutton.  Both him and Jenas are villa bound.  Apparently we will be going in for Steven Davis in Jan.  All info taken from news reporters on twitter and not a fabrication of my imagination  :)
