Jenas would be a v good signing for us, we can't count on Stillian Sweatrov fpr a whole game. Jenas would be a far more dynamic player and the right side of 30.  Heskey is not a winger, and more he plays, the more points we are goint drop.
Hutton would be a fine right back for us.
Even if we just brought in a decent midfielder and Hutton, and played Albrighton and put N'Zog on the left,  that would balance the team so much more. Gabby/Ireland behind Bent.

According to 5Live a deal has been done to bring left full back Enda Stephens from Shamrock Rovers to Villa Park in January.

Jenas and Hutton will do. Ship out Heskey & Petrov ( or in the next window, and maybe ireland as well, and then get Makoun back).

Then you got: Nzogbia, Jenas/makoun delph/bannan , migthy albrighty
Next summer get another winger in.

Sorted.

JamesNursey James Nursey
Two arrivals today at #AVFC. Alan Hutton and J Jenas from #thfc. Moves for Hargreaves and Steven Davis failed.

Normally I'd be complaining that we'd be after Jenas. But right now, I'd take just about anybody. We need bodies.
Thats all he will be a body.No thank you.

So who would you like?
Messi.

LOL we would all like Messi in our side but lets be realistic.  Every name that seems to be linked with Villa, there seems to be an opinion of "we dont need him" or "he isn't good enough" etc etc s o who is good enough for villa in the current situation we are in?
Jenas would be a disaster.Phil Neville would do a better job than him.And I never thought I would say that.

I will ask you again, so who is good enough for villa in the current situation we are in?  Not who isn't good enough for villa.
This is what I dont get.It looks like we are buying for the sake of buying. If the players coming in are the same quality or worse whats the point.Squad fillers at best.

How would we know who is good and not good enough for Villa..................We don't look.

Villanation, im looking for opinions of who people think are good enough as so far, every name that is mentioned for villa, they are either past it, shit or just not good enough according to peoples opinions.  Not one person has suggested a REALISTIC target who we could get.
I personally think, Jenas, Cole and Hutton would be decent additions to the wafer thin squad we have.

@Rick, The point I'm making is do we actually have a modern functioning scouting system at Villa, Villa for as long as I can remember and right through the MON years do not seem to have a proper awareness of what is out there, I had this debate with brice jovial the other night, mentioned players over in Holland that have gone on record as wanting to play in the Premiership, mentioned one particular creative midfielder, still only about 20/21 highly gifted that a mate of mine who lives there as watched a couple of times, in Holland, the Dutch think he's going to be one of the next big players over there, not saying he's right, but most of Holland think so and if they can spot him where is our scouting system.

Everybody is entitled to there opinion, fair play, you think the likes of Hutton, Cole and Jenas would be a good signing, I think these are players past there sell by date, that struggle to get games, that are overlooked by there clubs and therefore are also rans before they have even got to Villa, why are we always spending good money, notching up massive wage bills on players who quite frankly most of the time don't care if they are on the bench or playing so long as they are racking in millions.

But as mentioned we are all entitled to our opinions, I see players like Jenas and Cole rather like Harewood and Sidwell even Heskey ( not in the playing style sense), personally I don't think they will take the club forward and they certainly are not the future.

I bought some flexible flue liner from a chap who looked just like Joe Cole last week.

I think the correct term is 'condom'

I'd actually like Jenas to sign. I'd welcome any central midfielder who is mobile, has energy, can tackle, can pass reasonably well - and yes, Jenas can do all those things. I just want someone who can do this in our midfield to sign. I cannot believe we've hacked away at our midfield options so much now that we actually only have two genuine central midfield players left at the club - Bannan and Ireland being more attacking-minded players to use further forward and not in the two midfield roles.

What's happening with Hutton? All seems to have gone quiet.
